This should be designed as a technical exercise to explore a specific area for the learner’s future and the CPD related to this in the field of leadership. This unit develops the learner’s understanding of clinical reviews and methodology for research.

Learning Outcomes: To achieve this unit, the Learner will be able to:	Assessment Criteria: Assessment of these outcomes demonstrates the learner can:
1. Critically review approaches to research.	1.1 Critically examine methods and methodologies for research. 1.2 Evaluate Research Methods and approaches.
2. Develop a research strategy for governance and leadership in a given sector.	2.1 Discuss approaches or both quantitative and qualitative data collection 2.2 Demonstrate a critical understanding of the ethical issues related to an investigation.
3. Conduct primary research in the field of leadership.	3.1 Design and conduct a research project.
