One of the goals of this course is to get you to think like a sociologist. Sociologists master the 4 sociological paradigms: symbolic interaction, functionalist, conflict, and cultural materialism.
This week each student will create a blog post. The assignment challenges you to apply the theoretical paradigms as you identify a food video and analyze it using one of the paradigms listed above.

1. Video selection
Use YouTube or another social media site
Select a short video piece (2-5 minutes) that deals with food
- Make sure the video is closed captioned by checking for a CC emblem on the bottom bar
- 2. Write a blog post
- Include web link to the video
