No, Laura has not accepted a jet-ski. With UCC in place, physical taking possession of goods is not adequate as regards acceptance—the acceptance of goods. Under the law, the buyer accepts the goods when, after a reasonable chance of inspecting the goods, (1) notifies the seller that the goods are conforming or that she will accept the goods despite their nonconformity, or (2) fails to make a timely and effective rejection under the law.
